Step 1: Booking Your Newborn Session

Whether you're still awaiting your baby's arrival or they've already made their grand entrance, the first step is simple—get in touch.

Once we’ve confirmed your booking, we pencil in your due date to secure your spot. This means we can stay flexible and schedule the perfect session time once baby is here—usually between 5 and 21 days old, when they’re most settled and snuggly.

You’ll never feel rushed or like “just another client.” We only take a limited number of sessions each month to ensure every family gets our full care and attention.

Step 2: Your Personal Consultation

After booking, we’ll invite you to the studio for a pre-session consultation—a calm, welcoming space to sit down, chat, and begin imagining your session.

You’ll get to meet our team, explore our South Wales photography studio, see the props and styling options available, and talk about what matters most to you. If baby has already arrived and you’re settling in at home, we can do the consultation by phone instead—no stress, just support.

This is your moment to pause and connect. We’ll talk through ideas, colours, and how to make the session truly yours, whether that’s focusing on the tiniest details, capturing family moments, or designing artwork for your home. We can also discuss any particular sentimental items or themes that you have in mind for your session!

Step 3: Your Newborn Photography Session

When the day arrives, we’ll welcome you into our warm, peaceful studio—a space created with new parents in mind. The lights are soft, snacks a plenty, and the kettle always on.

Our baby-led approach means we work entirely at your baby’s pace. Every yawn, stretch, and sleepy sigh is treated with care. You can sit back and relax, knowing your baby is in the safest hands.

The session is never rushed. We allow time for feeds and cuddles, so everything feels calm and unrushed. And if you’d like to be in the photos too (which we strongly encourage, by the way)—whether it’s your first family portrait or a quiet moment of connection—we’re ready to capture that magic for you. Siblings are also welcome to attend the session, and even grandparents too!

Step 4: The Cinematic Viewing & Artwork Design

About a week after your session, you’ll return to the studio for your cinematic viewing and ordering appointment. This is the moment everything comes to life.

You’ll see your images for the first time on the big screen. It’s emotional. It’s powerful. It’s often the first time you get to truly see how small they were, how much love is already wrapped around them.

From here, we’ll help you design heirloom-quality artwork—framed portraits, handcrafted albums, and keepsakes that you’ll treasure forever. These aren’t just pictures. They’re your legacy.

Step 5: The Delivery of Your Memories

Once your artwork is ready, we’ll arrange a time for you to collect it from the studio. Unwrapping it for the first time is a moment in itself—a chance to relive the experience and know you’ve preserved something truly irreplaceable.
