Designed for babies aged six weeks to one year, these relaxed and joyful sessions celebrate every new expression, milestone, and giggle. A relaxed 1-2.5 hour studio session including:

Once your session has taken place we will arrange a viewing appointment for around one week later. At this appointment you will be able to select your favourite images and products for purchase.
A £100 deposit secures your space in our diary and will be deducted from your chosen collection total.

What is the difference between an older baby session and a sitter session?
An older baby session is perfect for babies who have outgrown the newborn stage but are not yet sitting independently.
A sitter session is designed for babies who can sit confidently unaided but are not yet walking.
Both stages are beautiful to capture — and each session is tailored to your baby’s age and development to ensure the portraits feel natural and safe.
What age is best for an older baby session?
Older baby sessions can take place any time after the newborn stage.
This stage often includes beautiful tummy time moments, expressive smiles and growing personality. We adapt posing and setups to suit your baby’s developmental stage.
There is never a “bad” time - every stage brings something unique.
What age is best for a sitter session?
Sitter sessions are ideal once your baby can sit confidently without support.
This is often around 6–9 months, but every baby develops differently. Sitting independently allows for a wonderful variety of expressions and interaction while keeping everything safe and comfortable.

What if my baby is crawling or almost walking?
That’s absolutely fine.
We tailor every session to suit your baby’s development. Whether they’re just learning to move or already on the go, we adapt the setup and approach to capture natural, joyful moments safely.
Can parents or siblings be included?
Yes - and we love including them.
While the session is centred around your baby and this special stage of development, we always encourage parents and siblings to step in for a few relaxed family portraits.
These images often become the most treasured — capturing not just your baby’s growth, but your family as you are right now.
We’ll guide you on simple, coordinated styling so everything photographs beautifully together.
What should my baby (and family) wear?
We recommend simple, neutral tones that complement one another rather than matching exactly.
Soft colours and minimal patterns create timeless portraits that look beautiful displayed in your home. We can guide you on styling before your session, and we also have a small selection of studio pieces available.
How long does an older baby or sitter session last?
Sessions typically last around 1 hour.
This keeps things relaxed and enjoyable for your baby while allowing time for individual portraits and family images.
What if my baby is unsettled on the day?
Babies can have unpredictable moments - and that’s completely normal.
We work entirely at your baby’s pace and allow time for breaks if needed. Our calm Pontypridd studio environment is designed to help babies and families feel comfortable and relaxed.
How much does an older baby or sitter session cost in South Wales?
Our older baby and sitter photography collections start from £399.
To secure your session, we take a £100 booking deposit, which is deducted from your chosen collection after you have viewed your images.
Your session includes your studio time, professional editing and a private viewing appointment where you can select your favourite photographs.
Most families invest between £399 and £1,200, depending on the collection and artwork selected.
There is no need to choose a package before seeing your images, and flexible payment options are available.
